About us ?

Short Escape is one of 43 Films asbl’s projects (www.43films.be).
The 43 Films asbl was co-founded by Ariane and Stéphanie Lippens and by Alice van den Abeele (www.alicebxl.com) in March 2004.
Since 2005, Amandine Cumps has joined the team.

Knowing that the life period of short films is often limited to festivals and competitions, the ambition of Short Escape is to expand their lifetime and screen them for audiences who don't necessarily attend short film festivals. Short Escape also invites the directors of the films shown offering them the opportunity to discuss with the audience in a relaxed atmosphere.

Short Films selection criterias

The SHORT ESCAPE team select films according to their own taste but always in order to touch a larger audience.
The selection is open to all types of films without exception (video clip, 3d, experimental, documentary, animation…) the only criteria is that films have to last less than 30 minutes.

The films are compiled on a DVD. The rights of the screenings are cleared each month with the directors and/or producers.

As far as possible, the directors, actors or producers are invited to come to present their work in order to share their experience with the public. The public is invited to vote for the short they preferred.
